UTAH SAINTS
+ Scheinwerfer Collective + DJ NORD
Whether you can remember raving to ‘What Can You Do For Me’ back in the ’90s or are new to the genius that is Utah Saints, the DJ’s from Leeds will ensure the NEoN party finishes with a bang…or maybe a BOOM BOOM BOOM!
The Saints along with Scheinwerfer Collective, DJ Nord, and Alan Dobson will light up the Reading Rooms until the wee small hours, as part of Spektrum Nights.
Utah Saints started recording their early tracks in a Leeds bedroom in the early ’90s and had their first big hit with ‘What Can You Do For Me’ in 1991 which reached number 10 in the charts. More chart success followed with ‘Something Good’ and ‘Believe in Me’ which were both top ten hits.
Utah Saints are renowned for using and manipulating samples from mainstream pop and rock songs, most notably The Eurythmics, Kate Bush, and The Human League.
is the brainchild of Alan Dobson. From Dundee, Alan set up and ran Progression club night and is a resident DJ at the Rhumba Club. Having played alongside some of the world best DJ’s including Pete Tong, David Guetta, Tiesto, and Judge Jules, Alan is thrilled that Utah Saints are coming to Dundee:"Lots of people will know Utah Saints from their big hits, but there is so much more to their sound; infusing house, breaks, and techno they should bring a fresh and unique sound to the event. The visuals provided by Scheinwefer Collective should be very special; Stefan and Simon have been working closely with Utah Saints to provide a visual feast for the night. The Spektrum crowd creates a crazy atmosphere so we are looking forward to another smasher of a party!"
