GELKIES: YANN SEZNEC

In a world of blogs, mobile telephones, and fax machines, the Gelkie seems like an anachronism - indeed, until recently scientists assumed they were completely extinct. However, through painstaking research and months of searching, Yann Seznec has succeeded in capturing a small gadroon of live Gelkies. The first was shown in the Hannah Maclure Centre in June 2009, and we are now proud to announce the largest ever collection of live Gelkies in a Scottish gallery.
